  1. Britney Spears won't have a new trial in her driver's license case. Prosecutors have decided not to pursue her misdemeanor charge for driving without a valid California driver's license when she hit a parked car and left the scene in August 2007. A jury deliberated for two full days without reaching a decision and were deadlocked 10-to-2 in favour of acquitting her. The case has been dismissed.
  2. Paul McCartney's head has been lost on a train in England. Businessman Joby Carter owns the head and the wax model of McCartney to which it belongs. The model was made in the 1960's and was on display in a museum. He's offering a reward for the head's return.
  3. Neil Diamond will get special recognition from the Grammy people not just for his music, but for his charitable work as well. Diamond has been named the Recording Academy's MusiCares Person of the Year. Diamond has participated with various charities, and most recently has been donating all his merchandise sales from his concerts in Houston, Dallas and Oklahoma City to hurricane relief efforts. Diamond will be honoured with a tribute concert on February 6th, two days before the Grammy Awards.
  4. The Backstreet Boys are going to the World Series. They will perform the U-S national anthem before Game One tonight as the Tampa Bay Rays host the Philadelphia Phillies.
