MOOSE JUICE ENTERTAINMENT FILE

  1. Frank Kerr, lead singer of the Canadian punk band “teenage hand” has died of cancer, at the age of 52. Gord Lewis, his bandmate and friend, says Kerr died yesterday in hospital after recently being diagnosed with throat cancer. Fans knew him as Frankie Venom.
  2. Madonna and Guy Ritchie are divorcing after seven-and-a-half years of marriage, their reps confirmed on Wednesday. Their main concern now, is their kids.
  3. And Madonna and Guy Ritchie aren’t the only actors divorcing. David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have announced they're divorcing. The couple said in a statement Wednesday that they have in fact been separated for several months. Duchovny entered rehab this summer for his sex addiction. He and Leoni were married in 1997 and have two young children.
  4. Britney Spears jumped from 96 to the Number One spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her latest single, "Womanizer." The move marks the chart's largest-ever leap. And it's the first time Spears hit the top of the list since her debut single "...Baby One More Time" reached Number One in January 1999. The track also did well in terms of download sales. "Womanizer" opened with 286,000 downloads in its first week -- the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan started counting digital downloads in 2003. "Womanizer" will appear on Spears' upcoming album, Circus, due out December 2nd.
