CHOCOLATE GLASS AND RAIN TIGERS? THAT'S BANANAS...

We talked about Banana peels on mosquito bites to rid the itch. Does it work? Well it seems too although it's hard to tell but it worked for Drew.

We also brought up the internet phenomenon Chocolate Rain. It's been around for a while now but has had well over 30 million views in total depending where you go to find it. Here's a link to an earlier post about it.


Former drummer from Glass Tiger, Michael Hanson, was on the phone with us today. Talking to us about his new band The Ravens which will be appearing at the Millenium Park Band Shell tonight during the last in the series of Concerts in the Park. The show kicks off at 7pm with the Ravens on at 8ish. Michael is writing a book you should look out for, Glass Tiger: Insane tales from Behind the Drum Kit.

  1. Malaysia officials have changed their minds and decided that Avril Lavigne's show is "too sexy" to be held in the Muslim-majority country later this month. According to the Associated Press, the Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry says her concert, which was set for August 29th, will interfere with the country's Independence Day festivities.

  2. Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna, Fergie, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood and Sheryl Crow are among the female artists lending their vocals to a new charity single, called "Just Stand Up," which will benefit cancer research. A slew of other singers will also be heard on the tune, including Mary J. Blige, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis and LeAnn Rimes.

  3. Former TV Superman Dean Cain has been cast in Maneater, a horror thriller about a former FBI profiler who teams with a small-town sheriff to solve murders seemingly based on Native American legends.
