- The video for Hinder's new single, "Use Me," can now be seen at the website of the band's record label, UniversalRepublic.com. The track is taken from the band's upcoming sophomore album, Take it to the Limit, which is due out on November 4th.
- Olympic swimming champ Michael Phelps has two high-profile TV gigs lined up. Phillips will host the 34th season premiere of NBC's Saturday Night Live on September 13th. He’s also set to make an appearance at the September 7th MTV Video Music Awards.
- Matthew McConaughey's father died while having sex, his mother reveals in her new book, I Amaze Myself!. "On Monday mornings he and I often said goodbye by making love," 77-year-old Kay McConaughey told Us magazine. "But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew something was wrong, because I didn't hear anything from him. Just nothing. But it was just the best way to go!" Kay says that she insisted his body not be covered on its way to the ambulance. "I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey -- and his gift," she added.
