MOOSE JUICE ENTERTAINMENT FILE

  1. Alanis Morissette has her own way of relieving stress sometimes: listening to her music. She doesn't just perform for fans, but Morissette will sometimes dig up one of her recorded songs and listen to it -- especially if there's something going on in her personal life. Morissette performed her new single, "Not As We," on CBS' Early Show this morning.
  2. Franz Ferdinand have wrapped up work on their third album, which is expected out early next year. According to BBC News, fans can expect an upbeat, dance-oriented sound from the set, which follows 2005's You Could Have It So Much Better.
  3. Survivor returns for its 17th, yes, 17th season with a two-hour premiere at 8:00 p.m. Eighteen castaways and Emmy-winning host Jeff Probst are sent to Gabon, a country in west central Africa. This season Exile is no longer an island, it's an open field near a body of water surrounded by trees, and for the first time the entire season will be filmed in HDTV.
  4. Johnny Depp is on board for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but that's not all he's got lined up at Disney. Depp will be playing Tonto in a big screen version of The Lone Ranger and will play the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland, which will be shot using 3-D and visual techniques similar to the ones used in Beowulf. Disney is also planning a sequel to the animated feature Cars.
