- 326,000 copies in its first week. That’s the sales for Nickelback’s Dark Horse album. That put it at Number Two on the Billboard album chart last Wednesday. Although the new CD is on track to do as well as the band's last record, bassist Mike Kroeger said they took no special measures to repeat that success:
Dark Horse was beaten for the chart's top spot by Beyonce's I Am Sasha Fierce, which moved 482,000 copies. - Britney Spears had an early birthday bash in the U.K. over the weekend. Her 27th birthday isn't until tomorrow, but according to People.com, she had a party in a British nightclub and was spotted blowing out the candles on a cake resembling the cover of her new album, Circus.
- Alex Rodriguez spent time with both his family and his gal pal Madonna over Thanksgiving weekend. According to the New York Daily News, the Yankees slugger celebrated Thanksgiving with his family in Miami before taking off around 4 p.m. to visit Madge's nearby Star Island home. And the night before, he supported Madonna at her South Florida concert by cheering her on at the show and even passing her water bottles in between songs.
